Vacation Days Are Over

Remember the days when school didn’t start until after Labor Day and the same went for football season. We use to get our cleats in the mail in July and didn’t even show up for two a days until August 14. But I am sounding like an old man, which I am. School is starting and so its time to put away the beach chairs and roll up my sleeves and get back to work writing and helping my publisher sell my novel, When Men Betray.

The next Jack Patterson novel is almost complete (working on the last edits) and will be for sale before you know it, but it is certainly not too late to get your autographed copy of When Men Betray by ordering from my website at www.webbhubbell.com.  You can also get the book at your local bookstore or through your favorite online bookstore. For the many of you who read your novels by use of an eReader, When Men Betray, is available from Amazon, B&N, and iTunes.

This fall I am appearing at several book signings, talking to as many book clubs as I can, and giving a few lectures on topics as broad as writing a novel to justice in America. Please contact me at [email protected] if you would like me to talk to your book club or your organization.

On a personal note, these days we are hearing a lot about “justice.” What is fairly obvious is that “justice” has different meanings depending on your point of view and the circumstances of each case. However, what I hope we can all agree on is that “violence” is not the same as “justice.” nor is it a proper response to “injustice.” Maybe you disagree. Let me know what you think either way by sending a comment.
