May and It’s Time For Baseball and Outdoor Activities

Dear Readers:

“The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time.” — A Field Of Dreams

Can you find an author in the picture? A good friend sent me a picture of our American legion baseball team from 1965. I still love the game, and have wonderful memories of my baseball days beginning when I was seven.

Another constant, Arkansas’s love affair with the death penalty. They executed four individuals in the month of April. Let’s hope May brings a reprieve.

I spoke to two wonderful book clubs in Charlotte and Dallas and to the Matthews, NC in April. At every book event I receive lots of excellent feedback that helps me with my next books. We are starting to set the calendar for the summer, so if you would like me to address your organization or institution contact me at [email protected]

Books: The award-winning Jack Patterson Thrillers, including my latest, A Game of Inches are available for Mother’s and Father’s Days, birthdays, thank you gifts, and just to be nice presents. Autographed copies are available at my website, webbhubbell.com. Amazon and Barnes & Noble are selling hard copies and eVersions, and local independent bookstores either have them in stock or can get books from my publisher, Beaufort Books. If your favorite bookstore has run out, ask them to order you a copy today.
Charity: Last month my books were auctioned at two charitable events. A set of the three thriller brought $100 for the charity and at another event a copy of A Game of Inches brought $60. A limited supply of my books are available for charitable auctions and door prizes. Again if you are interested in this program contact me at [email protected].
Have a wonderful May Day and enjoy the May flowers!
