Dear Reader,
Ginger Snaps was a natural follow up to my first novel, When Men Betray, where in the latter I wrote about friendship, loyalty, forgiveness, and betrayal against the background of murder, intrigue, and suspense; in the former I dealt with a few issues of the day — medical marijuana, sex-trafficking, and our government’s abuse of asset forfeiture laws. Let’s hope in the third of the Jack Patterson series I can blend the two themes while at the same time producing another page-turner.
I have some other good news for my readers. My first book written in 1997, Friends in High Places, is going to come out in paperback and as an e-book this September. My publisher, Beaufort Books, recognized its importance to the political discussion going on right now and has been generous enough to make sure it is available to a much broader audience by way of e-books and paperback.
Like most Americans I have tried to stay out of the heat during the month of August, but my book tour heats back up next week with two events. The first being a public reception at the magnificent Elder Gallery in Charlotte. If you live in the area I hope you will attend on Thursday, August 20, 2015 beginning at 5:00 P.M. The gallery is one of the South’s pre-eminent private galleries. On Saturday, I will be in Burlington, NC at the Barnes and Noble between 2:00 and 4:00 P.M. doing a reading and signing copies of Ginger Snaps. I hope everyone in the area will stop by.
Pick up When Men Betray or Ginger Snaps at your neighborhood bookstore, order them online at Amazon, B&N, or iBooks in hardcover or eBook format, or if you want autographed copies go to https://webbhubbell.com/books-by-webb-hubbell-when-men-betray/ .
Thank you for being supportive of the Jack Patterson stories, and for spreading the word.
My very best,
Webb Hubbell
