Dear Readers:
I am pleased to say my next Jack Patterson Novel is completed and with my agent. The working title is “The Eighteenth Green,” and I hope to be able tell you an approximate publication date very soon. I am working on the next Jack Patterson Thriller tentatively titled “Give Me Your Poor.” When you are my age and you enjoy doing something you enjoy as much as I do, why not continue.
I already have several book clubs and other speaking events lined up for the fall, including participating in a Symposium titled Watergate, Whitewater, & Wikileaks: Privacy, Policy, and the Public Trust in the Age of Information in November.
By the end of the year I will have posted over 1900 meditations at thehubbellpew.com. Take a minute to browse the site and sign up for the almost daily postings.
Charlotte is hosting the PGA Championship. Suzy and I hope to be there every day seeing the world’s best golfers. I love the game, but they play it at an entirely different level. It is thrilling to see what they can do with a stick and a little ball. Watch for me, I’ll be the one wearing the Razorback golf cap and sitting in a red Razorback folding chair. There won’t be that many here in Carolina Panther land.
Upcoming Events: I am excited about my fall speaking events, but there is plenty of room available for your book club, organization, and institution, At events like these I get so much feedback on my books and almost every time I make new friends or catch up with old friends, or both. Contact me at [email protected] to inquire about me speaking or contact [email protected]. My speaking fees are not anywhere near as much as you might think or expect.
A Favor To Ask. After you read A Game of Inches and if you enjoyed it like so many who are saying “this one is the best of the three” please write a review on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Powell’s, or Goodreads website even if all you do is award it five stars.
A second way to help is to drop by your local bookstore and suggest they carry all three of the award-winning Jack Patterson Thrillers: When Men Betray, Ginger Snaps, and A Game of Inches.
Most importantly, tell your friends, your book club, and your business organization what many are writing — that it is a “must read” and “one of the top summer reads.”
Charitable Organizations. I donated twenty books to the Charlotte Library so Promising Pages, a local homeless book club, could read my book. If your organization is having a silent auction or needs a door prize please let me know. I heard this last week that the three book series autographed went for $300 at a silent auction. I always set aside a number of my books for charitable events. Don’t hesitate to contact me by emailing me at [email protected].
Until my next post all the very best and don’t forget to order and then review A Game of Inches. Have a great August! Webb
