Dear Readers:
It seems to me that those who oppose President Trump’s plans to eliminate Obamacare need to offer an alternative solution, not simply saying Obamacare works just fine the way it is. How about beginning with a plan to extend Medicare one year earlier for the next ten (10) years. That way by 2027, Medicare would cover all individuals over fifty-five, the most vulnerable of our population and the more likely population to need healthcare. Insurance companies would be able to lower premiums to the healthier and younger population. It’s a start.
Paying for the expansion would be easy, simply remove the income cap on which medicare premiums are taxed. At least yellow dog Democrats would be offering an alternative, not simply saying no. What do you think?
This Spring I had a wonderful time speaking to book clubs, civic and religious organization, at at other events. At every event I receive lots of excellent feedback that helps me with my next books.
