A long time ago and far away, I played the game of football. I call it a game even though the risks of injuries when I played were great (10 out of 11 of the young men who graduated with me had 4-F draft status because of permanent injuries suffered while playing.) I also still call it a game even though several of my teammates are now suffering from CTE.
I still enjoy watching the game and especially rooting for my beloved Arkansas Razorbacks. Like many of my teammates we enjoy watching the game but do so with a huge sense of guilt knowing the physical punishment the young men will endure.
I have tried in my upcoming novel to weave little bit of that dilemma most former players experience into the storyline. I hope you will enjoy the story, the mystery, and the characters, and will write me what you think after you have read A Game of Inches. You may preorder your copies at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or your local independent bookstore today. If you would like an autographed copy simply go to my website webbhubbell.com to preorder your autographed copies. In Ginger Snaps the federal prosecutor wields his power and uses fear and hatred to influence the media and the citizens of Little Rock against Jack Patterson’s client, Dr. Doug Stewart. Five star reviews continue to come in about this second Jack Patterson thriller. Don’t miss it.Tags: A Game of Inches, Amazon, Arkansas Razorbacks, Barnes and Noble, CTE, Father's Day, Ginger Snaps, webb hubbell
