November Newsletter — Happy Thanksgiving!
I spoke yesterday in Raleigh at a Symposium titled Watergate, Whitewater, & Wikileaks: Privacy, Policy, and the Public Trust in the Age of Information put on by Campbell University’s College of Law. It was great experience, and I was honored the share the podium with historical figures from the Watergate era. For me, the current news coming from Washington, DC and Robert Mueller’s work as a special counsel is in the words of Yogi Berra, “deja vu all over again.” The speakers on cyber security were fascinating and made me wonder whether there is anything resembling privacy anymore. I feel for businesses, law firms, and the judiciary who have to deal with daily threats from cyber criminals.
It is time to fill up the spring calendar for speaking events. Contact Bianca McDown or me at webbhubbell.com. to arrange for me to speak to your organization or institution. Bianca’s email is [email protected] I love to talk to book clubs and community groups in the Charlotte area. Contact me by emailing me at [email protected] if your book club would like me to pay them a visit.
By the end of the year, I will have posted over 1900 meditations at thehubbellpew.com. If you are not signed up to receive the meditations it is very easy to sign up at thehubbellpew.com. Take a minute to sign up or add a friend.
Football season is about to end. Get ready for the playoffs and Bowl games by reading my latest thriller, A Game of Inches.
A Favor To Ask. After you read A Game of Inches and if you enjoyed it like so many who are saying “this one is the best of the three” please write a review on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Powell’s, or Goodreads website even if all you do is award it five stars.
A second way to help is to drop by your local bookstore and suggest they carry all three of the award-winning Jack Patterson Thrillers: When Men Betray, Ginger Snaps, and A Game of Inches.
Most importantly, tell your friends, your book club, and your business organization what many are writing — that it is a “must read” and “one of the top summer reads.”
Charitable Organizations. I donated twenty books to the Charlotte Library so Promising Pages, a local homeless book club, could read my book. If your organization is having a silent auction or needs a door prize please let me know. The three book series autographed went for $300 at a silent auction. I always set aside a number of my books for charitable events. Don’t hesitate to contact me by emailing me at [email protected]
Until my next post all the very best and don’t forget to order and then review A Game of Inches. Have a Happy Thanksgiving! WebbTags: Beaufort Books, Bianca McDown, Campbell University School of Law, The Hubbell Pew, Watergate, webb hubbell
