Letter To My Readers — September 25, 2015

HighPlaces_CVR_Mar17Dear Readers,

These are exciting times for me. I had a wonderful evening last night at the historic Horace Williams Philosophical Group, discussing my life and writing novels.

If you would like me to address your university, organization, book club, or group either click on my website, https://webbhubbell.com/contact/ , or email me at [email protected].

I will be speaking at the Plaza Midwood Library tomorrow morning about the writing process and the new novel I am writing. If you are in the Charlotte, NC area please drop by.

Next Monday, the updated and revised Friends in High Places becomes available in paperback or in e-book format. To order your copy go to your local bookstore, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or your favorite online bookstore. If you would like an autographed copy place your order at my website, webbhubbell.com.

This has been a historic weekend in our country with the Pope’s visit and today’s announcement that the Speaker of the House is stepping down. For me the Pope’s visit brought a welcome civility to the daily news, as opposed to the name calling and the childish behavior we had come to expect from people who say they want to become President of the United States. I may not have agreed with the Pope on every thing he said, but the way he said it and acted was what we would hope out of a world leader, not name calling and trash talking.

I thought it interesting that when the Pope declined to have lunch with the House and Senate leadership in order to feed the homeless, not one of the Congressional leaders asked to join the Pope in feeding the homeless.

Ginger Snaps Book CoverEnjoy the fall season, and when the weather is like it is today in Charlotte, rainy and cool, pick up a good book such as When Men Betray or Ginger Snaps and enjoy.

Webb
